About Me

I grew up and lived the majority of my life here in Houston. At an early age, I began studying piano and eventually moved onto the guitar. Ever since then, I have always had a fondness for the blues and anything which has that raw emotional power. My musical endeavors at an early age led me to pursue the study of music at the undergraduate level. I became involved in the local music scene in Oneonta, NY, performing, recording, and producing my own solo material, in addition to material as a part of several different bands.

After completing my internship with Much Luvv Records, I graduated from the State University of New York: College at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry. I worked closely with other engineers and started managing my own recording sessions, allowing me the opportunity to work with some really wonderful artists. As a musician, I continue to record and produce my own material.

Currently I am working out of 4930 Studios,a state of the art recording studio in Houston, as a freelance engineer and owner of Q-Modal Sound. At 4930 studios I have access to a fully capable audio recording, editing, and mixing production suite. In addition to audio production, there is all the necessary tools for graphics design and video production available on-site, thus allowing you the artist access to a full range of tools to create a well-designed marketing package.

In this day and age, music is ubiquitous. There is no denying how powerful a medium is when it quite literally permeates every moment of our waking lives. It is there in the waiting lounges of a restaurant, playing on the car stereo, even entering our personal and professional life through the use of customized ring-tones. Yet despite its ubiquity, the common thread in the news is that the record business model is collapsing on itself. There are a number of explanations for why this is, but I believe technology among other things has radically changed the way we experience music.

I believe music will continue to exist irregardless of current trends in distribution and marketing. If anything, it really underscores the importance of distinguishing one's identity as an artist. It all begins with great music and given the right marketing tools, one can create a very powerful message.
